Three Bedrooms in Manhattan — Georges Simenon

A divorced actor and a lonely woman meet by chance in a New York diner. Through streets, bars and temporary rooms, they begin a hesitant relationship that neither can fully explain. Simenon follows two displaced people as attraction and the fear of solitude pull them towards each other.
